Annotations

Nihata: site in the Bekaa valley with two Roman temples, modern Niha. There are two more at the ancient village (vicus) Mifsa (today Hosn Niha), three miles up the hill The name Nihata is Syriac and means "tranquil". Livius gives a good overview1.
